Cast off for easy and flexible water mobility! With the Elbtaxi app you determine the departure time, start and destination points. On-demand and individually tailored to your needs. Are you booking for yourself or your group? Our boats take up to 11 passengers. And by the way, at Elbtaxi sharing is caring: to keep the fare low, we combine bookings that go in the same direction at the same time.

Request a ride
Open the Elbtaxi app and enter your desired start and destination docks in the search fields or select them on the map. Then enter your desired departure time and the number of people in your booking. The app immediately shows you the possible departure time, the price and the estimated travel time.
Book
Is the time and price right? Then confirm your booking and receive a reservation code. Payment is made automatically via the method you choose.
Get in
Our Elbe taxi awaits you at the agreed pier. After a warm welcome from one of our skippers, it's "All hands on board!" and the journey begins.
Arrive
Enjoy the breathtaking view of Hamburg and the special atmosphere on the boat. Our trained staff will ensure that you get to your destination and off board safely.
Where can I take the Elbe taxi?
The Elbe is our playing field - from Wedel in the west to Entenwerder in the east to Harburg in the south. We want to make everything that lies in between without locks accessible by water.
We want to use existing public and private jetties to get on and off the boats and are in discussions with the relevant authorities and institutions. The goal is seamless integration into the city of Hamburg's existing mobility offerings to enable you to move around flexibly. In the future, we are even thinking of including additional mini-investors in order to offer Elbtaxi as an integral part of Hamburg's forward-looking urban planning.
What's new?
Elbtaxi is still in the planning phase and as you can imagine, for such a novel concept there are many details to be taken into account and coordinated with the authorities. But don't worry, we're on the right track! Our pilot phase is imminent and we hope to enrich the mobility offering in Hamburg with a growing Elbe taxi fleet from 2025.
